Monday we drove about an hour outside of Austin to the Exotic Zoo Resort. We took a guided Safari tours as soon as we arrived, and later on some friends and their kids joined us for an evening of ‘camping’ in the on-site cabins.

At dusk we drove to Johnson City to see the Christmas lights. Jacob was really hamming it up for the camera!

On a recent trip to visit my family Cincinnati, I pulled my little brother and sister aside and took a few pictures of them in front of their house. I think they turned out very cute, but of course I’m biased!

Fun at Symphony Square | Austin Children’s Photographer

We went down to Symphony Square this morning for the Children’s Day Art Park. It was a Teddy Bear theme: a teddy bear contest, teddy grahams, teddy bears everywhere! We sat in the shade and enjoyed the music and fun. I brought my camera of course, and had nearly given up on getting any photos when Sophia wandered to this little garden in the back and I got a few shots.

This morning Shannan brought Jacob over to have pictures taken for mothers day. We sat on a blanket on the lawn and the kids had a great time, munching on snacks and bobbing their heads to music as cars with loud stereos drove by. I got to see the many faces of Jacob, I just love his expressions!

Winston, a Doll | Austin Lifestyle Photographer

It was Christmas in London, and our friends Bob & Charlotte gave Sophia a sweet little crochet puppy doll. We named him Winston, after Winston Churchill, and he stayed by Sophia’s side the whole trip. Back home, Winston was lost in Target. I frantically searched online for another Winston, with no luck. Thankfully he was found on a shelf a few days later, and he’s been on house arrest ever since.
